Things to do in Oliwa
Oliwa is a residential district of Gdansk, roughly 15-20 minutes by SKM train or tram from the Old Town, and it works as three separate stops rather than a historic quarter to wander.
Oliwa Cathedral, free to enter, is known for its 18th-century pipe organ, with recitals held several times a day in summer and far fewer off-season - check the board on arrival rather than assume a slot. The cathedral sits inside Oliwa Park, a former monastery garden good for an hour's walk.
Gdansk Zoo lies close by and easily fills half a day on its own. There is no old town to walk here, so plan a targeted visit to these three sites, not a stroll through period streets.
